With the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act in August 2022, many in the U.S. hydroelectric power industry are hoping for a significant boost to this “forgotten” renewable. And there are several provisions in the act that directly affect hydropower, all with the goal of making clean energy more affordable and accessible and strengthening resilience to climate change.
