Duke Energy’s fleet of power plants has about 50,200 megawatts of generating capacity from a variety of fuel sources, including hydroelectric, solar, coal, natural gas and nuclear, serving about 7.4 million customers in the Carolinas, Florida, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.
