Swiss-based generator Repower AG seeks bids to supply a replacement turbine-generator for the 570-kW Morteratsch hydroelectric project in Switzerland. Bids are due April 2.

Operating in Switzerland, Germany, Italy and Romania, Repower generates hydro, wind and nuclear power and distributes and trades electricity as well. Another Swiss utility, ewl Kabelnetz AG, called for bids March 27 to replace the turbine-generator unit of the 2.5-MW Arni hydroelectric project.

Repower seeks bids to manufacture, supply and commission a 1.6-MW Pelton turbine-generator at Morteratsch, including governor, excitation and related equipment.
