Roger Yeargan, Hydro Manager for four plants that make up Alabama Power Company’s Lower Coosa group, will share the knowledge he’s gained through nearly four decades in the hydroelectric sector during a session at HydroVision International 2018.

Session 3E, “O&M Reality Check: Managing Conflicting Goals“, is part of HydroVision’s Operations & Maintenance and takes place Wednesday, June 27 at 2:30 p.m.

The panel presentation will show attendees how their peers have addressed challenges posed by everything from day-to-day responsibilities to relicensing to managerial interactions and everything in between.

Yeargan has had plenty of experience in managing goals, with his duties at Alabama Power including the supervision of the Lay, Mitchell, Jordan and Bouldin Dam facilities. Combined, these four projects have a capacity of about 700 MW and include 17 generating units.

“O&M Reality Check: Managing Conflicting Goals” is one of 60 conference sessions taking place at HydroVision International 2018.
