Bids now are due Sept. 25. BC Hydro previously called for bids by Sept. 15 and Aug. 28. The 492-MW Bridge River generating system, on Bridge River, includes 180-MW Bridge River 1, 248-MW Bridge River 2, 22-MW La Joie (or Lajoie) Dam, 42-MW Seton Dam, and Terzaghi Dam. BC Hydro recruited firms in January to supply transformers to various BC Hydro facilities including Bridge River 1. It took bids last year to replace low-voltage circuit breakers and related equipment at Bridge River 2. The utility now seeks bids for design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of generator switchgear and related equipment at Bridge River 1.
