Verbund Austrian Hydro Power AG seeks bids for diversion structure equipment for an extension of the 63-MW Hieflau hydroelectric project on Austria’s Enns River. Bids are due March 18.

In 2007, Verbund solicited design services, site supervision, and construction of an extension of Hieflau. (HNN 2/9/07) Built in 1956, Hieflau has three Francis turbines with three-phase synchronous generators.

The current solicitation seeks bids for supply and installation of diversion structure equipment including a valve chamber, surge tank, and pressure pipeline. Work is to be performed between July 2009 and October 2009.
